It’s perfect for outfitting our kitchens with new dishes, glassware, decor, and appliances for less than you’ll get them almost anywhere else.
This week in the aisle that brings so much joy, there’s an appliance you may not have known you needed, but when you realize how handy it is—and what a bargain it is—you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner. No need to feel pretend “shame” at all.
Aldi’s Ambiano Electric Griddle

An electric griddle can come in handy in so many ways. If you don’t have a full kitchen with a stove, it’s how you can cook up a smash burger or Philly cheesesteak instead of having to pay for delivery.
If you want to cook more than two pancakes at a time, this is the appliance you need. You can even throw your full pancake, egg, and sausage breakfast on there at the same time. Don’t want your house smelling like bacon all day long? Plug the griddle into your backyard outlet and let the entire neighborhood enjoy the aroma.
And it’s a no-brainer for feeding a crowd. Depending on the size of the bread, you could make six to eight grilled cheese sandwiches on this griddle, several quesadillas, a whole mess of scrambled eggs, or perhaps try something new and make potato scones.
The size, portability, and nonstick surface of an electric griddle mean it’s a seriously versatile kitchen appliance. Similar griddles sell for $40 to $50 online from Amazon or Macy’s, though Aldi’s $20 Ambiano version has the same functions at half the price.
It has a titanium nonstick coating and a removable drip tray. The griddle’s temperature is adjustable, and if you turn the temperature down, you can even use it to keep foods or casserole dishes warm on its 20.4-inch x 10.5-inch cooking surface. The 1500-watt appliance also comes with a 3-year warranty.
The Ambiano Electric Griddle goes on sale at Aldi on Feb. 26 and will be in the Finds section for one week—or until it (inevitably) sells out.
