The great thing about frozen pizza is that it’s cheap and ready to bake at a moment’s notice. But let’s face it, not all are created the same. The best frozen pizza has to strike the right balance of generous toppings, flavorful sauce, and a quality crust that actually tastes like pizza. Even with smart upgrades and cooking hacks, like defrosting your pizza first and baking right on the rack, you can’t always save a subpar pie.

DiGiorno, known for its fluffy crust and premium toppings that rival delivery options, has a range of products that cater to all tastes. Last year, the brand expanded its lineup with Thin & Crispy Stuffed Crust Pizza. Now, it’s launching a new restaurant-inspired crust that makes it easier than ever to serve up the charred smoky flavor of wood-fired pizzas straight from your own oven.

DiGiorno Wood Fired Style Crust Pizzas are headed to the freezer aisle now. Wood-fired pizzas are typically cooked in brick ovens and use wood for fuel rather than gas or electricity. This cooking method produces a crust that is crisp on the outside but has a chewy bite that keeps you coming back for more.

DiGiorno’s latest launch includes four varieties: Four Cheese, Italian Meat Trio, Supreme Speciale, and Premium Pepperoni. The Four Cheese features a rich and creamy mix of Romano, Asiago, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Those who prefer heftier toppings can opt for the Premium Pepperoni or the Italian Meat Trio, which includes pepperoni, salami, and Italian sausage. And don’t worry, veggie lovers, there’s something for you too. The Supreme Speciale includes a blend of bell peppers, plus onions, pepperoni, and sausage.

The brand says the new pizza crust is a way to connect fans with the flavor they enjoy, in a more convenient way.

“This new crust offers everything people love about wood-fired pizza—the crisp, the chew, the char—all without ever leaving the house or using a pizza oven,” said Kimberly Holowiak, Senior Brand Manager for DiGiorno, in a press release.
