Key Takeaways

  • Keebler is releasing an unexpected twist on the E.L. Fudge Elfwich cookies with a brand-new flavor combo similar to another major cookie company.
  • The new elf-shaped sandwich cookies have already been spotted online at Walmart and Kroger.

Keebler’s merry band of elf bakers have been busy this year, from a first-of-its-kind treat to making a fan-favorite cookie a permanent grocery store buy. And now we have breaking news from the Hollow Tree: There’s a brand-new twist on a current Keebler classic and it’s already hitting shelves.

From the Keebler Elves who brought you hits such as Fudge Stripes, Sandies, and even the Pretzel Pie Crust (which makes strawberry pretzel salad so easy to make) comes a new sandwich cookie to celebrate Ernie, Ella, Leonardo, Buckets, Elwood, and Joy, the Hollow Tree’s brand-new elf.

But these cookies resemble something else iconic: Oreos.

Keebler Releases New E.L. Fudge Choco Vanilla Cookies

Keebler / Allrecipes

Say hello to the E.L. Fudge Choco Vanilla Cookies. According to Keebler, the “E” stands for everybody and the “L” stands for loves, as in everybody loves fudge. They’re the latest addition to the Elfwich sandwich cookie portfolio with flipped flavors on the original. The new sandwich cookie features two chocolate (or as the brand calls it, fudge) cookies held together by a vanilla-flavored creme center.

It’s giving serious Oreo vibes, though you’d never mistake these treats for Oreo cookies because each one of these sandwich cookies is shaped like one of the famous elves who made them.

You’ll find the Keebler E.L. Fudge Choco Vanilla Cookies on store shelves soon, if you haven’t already spotted them in the cookie aisle at Walmart and Safeway. When you grab a bag, don’t forget to grab some cold milk, too—you’re definitely going to want to dunk these new Elfwiches. Milk may have just found a new favorite cookie.
