“Every person has exactly two things in common: we all gotta eat and we’re all gonna die.” When you hear that intro from Mythical Kitchen’s Josh Scherer, you know you’re about to watch your favorite celebrity eat their ideal final meal on Earth.

The “Last Meal” series is one of our favorites because it gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what beloved A-listers would enjoy if there was no tomorrow. And while many of them opt for something predictable, like Gordon Ramsay’s request to have his own signature Beef Wellington, some are about as unhinged as you would expect; Tom Hanks would apparently die happy after eating the famous coconut cake sent by Tom Cruise every Christmas.

Recently, though, we saw one of the most relatable final meals to ever grace the YouTube series. Many of actress Kathryn Hahn’s last requests come from the freezer and her mom’s recipe book.

Hahn says her final meal would consist of a Hungry Man Salisbury steak TV dinner, her mom’s Witches Stew that she made on Halloween, a gingerbread cake that reminds her of holidays growing up in Cleveland, and her mom’s go-to after-school snack recipe, which has since become my new favorite three-ingredient treat: the “Bunker Special.”

What Is the Bunker Special?

The Bunker Special is named after Hahn’s mother, whose maiden name is Bunker. Hahn describes it as her “secret weapon.” The snack is simply a piece of white bread slathered in peanut butter and sprinkled with brown sugar that’s broiled for a few minutes until crunchy.

“This has gone through a lot of generations,” the “Agatha All Along” actress said. “It was always never a dessert. It was always just an after-school snack.”

And it’s a snack I haven’t been able to stop making since I watched Hahn’s “Last Meals” episode. I can understand why the Bunkers served it as an after-school snack. It’s easy to make with just three ingredients, quick to toast, and does have some sustenance to hold you over until dinner.

I’m a peanut butter toast lover, so add some extra sugar, and I’m in heaven. I will say, the Bunker Special is really easy to accidentally burn since the brown sugar immediately starts caramelizing in the oven. A few minutes under the broiler is all it takes—so make sure you (or your littles ones) keep a close eye on it.

Obviously, the more brown sugar you add, the crunchier and more caramelized the toast will be. However, even with just a light sprinkling of sugar, it takes plain peanut butter toast to the next level.

Between the Bunker Special, the flambéed fried cheese saganaki, and Hahn’s hilarious reaction to unveiling the R-rated gingerbread cake shape, this “Last Meals” menu may just be my final meal request, too. And, it certainly cemented Kathryn Hahn as my new favorite food celebrity.
