Raspberry Mojito Ingredients

To make this recipe, you will need white rum club soda, raspberries, sugar, water, lime juice and mint.

How Do You Make A Raspberry Mojito?

Start by mixing sugar with hot water to make a simple syrup. Place the syrup and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker, then use a muddler to crush the mint. Add the berries, and muddle again to smash the raspberries. Pour ice, rum and lime juice into the shaker. Seal the cocktail shaker, then shake to combine. Strain the raspberry mixture into a glass of ice. Add club soda, and stir gently to combine. Garnish with extra lime, fresh berries and lime wedges, then serve.

Tips For The Perfect Drink

  • This recipe makes a single mojito. You can easily make mojitos for a crowd by simply changing the number of servings in the recipe card. The ingredient amounts will automatically recalculate.
  • You can use frozen raspberries instead of fresh, just thaw them first. Frozen berries are often more tart than fresh, so you also may need to add a little more sugar.
  • Using the strainer on the cocktail shaker will still allow some of the raspberry seeds to go into the serving glass. If you’d like to prevent any seeds in your mojito, strain the raspberry and rum mixture through a fine mesh sieve before you place it in your glass.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a mason jar instead, then pour the mixture into a strainer before it goes into the glass.

Quick Tip

Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best results.

Flavor Variations

This raspberry mojito is delicious as-is, but you can change up some of the ingredients to fit what you have on hand.

  • Fruit: Swap out the raspberries for a different type of berry such as strawberries, blueberries or blackberries. You can also use other types of fruit puree such as passion fruit, watermelon or pineapple.
  • Club Soda: Try using lime flavored sparkling water instead of plain club soda for extra citrus flavor.
  • Alcohol: You can use vodka instead of rum, although this is not a traditional choice.
