If the pain of poaching eggs keeps you from making Benedicts for a crowd, we have a delicious solution: Eggs Benedict Casserole. The recipe combines the best elements of the breakfast classic—perfectly cooked eggs, hearty Canadian bacon, and buttery English muffins—into a crowd-pleasing casserole served with decadent Hollandaise sauce. Read on to find out why it deserves a place on your breakfast or brunch spread this Easter and beyond.
What Is Eggs Benedict Casserole?
The recipe, submitted by Allrecipes community member alycimo, features English muffins, Canadian bacon, and a green onion-studded egg mixture layered in a 9×13-inch dish and baked. Slices of the casserole are then drizzled with a quick Hollandaise sauce (made from a packaged mix!) for a rich and filling early day meal.
Since the recipe forgoes poaching eggs and crafting from-scratch Hollendaise sauce—a warm, creamy emulsion made from egg yolks, butter, and seasonings—it’s a shortcut variation of eggs Benedict designed to feed a hungry group.
How to Make Eggs Benedict Casserole
Allrecipes / Qi Ai
Cut the Canadian bacon and English muffins into half-inch pieces and whisk together the milk, eggs, green onions, onion powder, and salt. In a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish, sprinkle half of the Canadian bacon on the bottom, and cover the layer with the chunks of English muffins. Then, top with more Canadian bacon and pour the egg mixture over everything. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or for at least eight hours).
When you’re ready to serve your casserole, sprinkle the top with a little paprika, cover the dish with foil, and bake it for about 30 minutes in a 375 degrees F oven. Remove the foil and continue baking until the eggs are completely set (about 15 minutes more). While the casserole finishes cooking, make the sauce on the stovetop with the Hollandaise sauce mix, milk, and butter.
Serve your Eggs Benedict Casserole with a fresh side, such as Brunch Spinach Salad, Blueberry-Pineapple Salad with Creamy Yogurt Dressing. Or pair it with a platter of Air Fryer Breakfast Potatoes or something sweet like Easy French Toast Casserole.
