So, whether you’re gearing up to host a holiday celebration or just want to add some pizzazz to your shopping list, you won’t want to miss these budget-friendly finds.

Here are our five top picks for new products under $5 at Trader Joe’s this month.

Chocolate Chip Energy Bar, $1.19

Trader Joe's / Allrecipes

If you need a boost between meals, look no further than Trader Joe’s newest gluten-free snack bars. Chocolate Chip Energy Bars and Peanut Butter Energy Bars just landed on shelves, and many shoppers are already comparing them to another popular energy bar brand.

“Definitely looks like a Cliff Bar dupe,” wrote one person in a recent Reddit thread. The ingredient list is straightforward, including oats, soy protein crisps, and chocolate chips. Each bar has 10 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber, so it’s sure to keep you satisfied until your next meal.

Lemon Poppy Seed Buns, $4.49

Trader Joe's / Allrecipes

These sweet buns have all the same flavor as your favorite poppy seed muffins, but with a bready twist. Enjoy them warmed with your morning tea or display them on a spring-themed platter for an easy brunch win. Each Danish is loaded with lemon filling made with real lemons and topped with a generous sprinkle of pearl sugar and poppy seeds. Be sure to act fast, though, because this seasonal gem is only available for a limited time.

Caro Sugo Italian Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce, $4.99

Trader Joe's / Allrecipes

The best pasta sauces keep it simple, and Trader Joe’s Caro Sugo Italian Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce does just that. It contains only seven simple ingredients, including whole peeled tomatoes, olive oil, and sea salt. According to the product description, this pasta sauce utilizes fresh onion, garlic, and basil rather than the dried or powdered counterparts, giving it a homestyle flavor.

“It’s so good! 10/10 will purchase again. I had it with some rigatoni topped with chicken, spinach, ricotta, and Parm,” a Redditor wrote. We can see this being an excellent addition to chicken cacciatore, ravioli lasagna, and cheesy zucchini bakes.

Celebration Cake Pretzels, $2.99

Trader Joe's / Allrecipes

Whether you’re hosting a party or settling in for movie night, there’s nothing like a sweet and salty snack. TJ’s shoppers recently spotted Celebration Cake Pretzels and were thrilled with the colorful find.

The new treat features mini pretzels covered in a vanilla frosting-flavored candy coating and rainbow nonpareils. Each colorful bag contains about seven servings, so there’s plenty to display on your next dessert board. Just be sure to stock up now, because at less than $3 each, it’s likely this treat is going to fly off shelves.

Passion Fruit Meringue Tartelettes, $4.99

Trader Joe's / Allrecipes

Trader Joe’s just made fancy dessert night easier than ever with its new mini tarts. Each tartelette features a rich, buttery pastry crust filled with tangy passion fruit filling and a dollop of sweet meringue on top. No baking is required either—all you have to do is thaw it in the refrigerator and enjoy.

One social media user says the desserts are a hit with the store’s crew members, while another praised the product for its high-quality taste. “Eating this right now, it’s so good and the quality is very similar to what I would get at a pastry shop. Just the right amount of sweet and tartness for me.”

This is a limited-time seasonal item, meaning it’s possible that once it’s gone, it could be a while before you can get your hands on more. So, be sure to make some extra room in the freezer.

It’s also worth mentioning that the product one person on Reddit referred to as their “most highly anticipated product return” has now been spotted in stores. Crunchy Chili Onion Sprinkle is back on shelves, and fans are already stocking up. So, grab your collapsible tote and head to TJ’s to try these fresh new items before they disappear.
