For some reason, as soon as football season ends, it seems like some of our favorite snacks fall to the wayside, too. But just because the NFL season culminates in one of the biggest snacking days of the year doesn’t mean we have to stop enjoying chips and dip, sliders, and jalapeño poppers until we can tailgate again in August.
Between March Madness, Fourth of July, and every gathering in between, there are plenty of excuses to whip out a snack platter. And now Heluva Good! just gave us another one.
Heluva Good!, the minds behind one of our favorite French onion dips, recently released a new chip dip that will have you dreaming of the warm summer months. For a limited time, Heluva Good! is offering a Backyard BBQ flavor.

The new chip dip features bold, smoky barbecue flavors without ever having to fire up the grill—or even step outside. The creamy dip is made with savory onion, bell pepper, garlic, and paprika, plus tangy tomato, to offer a fresh-off-the-grill barbecue flavor that will enhance any chip, pretzel, or veggie.
Heluva Good!’s new Backyard BBQ flavor is already hitting shelves, offering you a taste of what’s to come this summer in a tub straight from the refrigerated section. Even though the new Backyard BBQ dip is only a limited-edition flavor, seeing as it hit shelves long before barbecue season truly begins, we’re hopeful that you’ll be able to find this flavor into the summer and maybe even fall tailgating season.
It seems the new Backyard BBQ flavor is taking the place of Heluva Good!’s previous limited-edition flavor, Buffalo Wing. The Buffalo sauce-flavored dip was released in early 2024 and has remained on shelves until recently—although some stores may still have a few tubs left in stock. So, if Buffalo Wing’s availability is any indication, Heluva Good!’s new Backyard BBQ flavor might even carry us through Super Bowl LX.
For now, however, you can find Heluva Good! Backyard BBQ dip at grocery stores nationwide. Some fans have already spotted it and have nothing but positive reviews.

Whether you enjoy this new creamy barbecue dip while watching the game, as an Easter appetizer, or at your own backyard cookout, it’s sure to be a hit. And, paired with Heluva Good!’s other staples, including French Onion, Bacon Horseradish, Buttermilk Ranch, Jalapeño Cheddar, and Bodacious Onion, you can’t go wrong.
