A shopping trip to Aldi feels different than a visit to other grocery stores, and it’s not because it mainly stocks its own private-label brands. With fan-favorite items that range from salmon to cottage cheese and prices that feel like you’re getting a great deal, perusing Aldi aisles feels akin to hunting a thrift store for unique items you can’t help but want to bring home and try.

It was on an Aldi shopping trip a few months ago that I stumbled upon a new-to-me product that’s become a staple in my family’s kitchen. Aldi’s Mama Cozzi chocolate chip “pizza cookie” can sometimes be found in the refrigerated pizza section, right next to customer-loved items like Mama Cozzi’s take-and-bake pepperoni pizza in a cute cardboard pizza box. As someone whose daughter almost always requests a chocolate chip cookie cake for her birthday instead of a traditional cake, this find was too good to pass on.

Simply put, Aldi’s Mama Cozzi’s chocolate chip pizza cookie is delicious—and I’m not the only person to think this. All you have to do is pop it in the oven and wait for it to warm up before digging into an ooey gooey sweet confection. It’s quickly become a family favorite and I always pick it up whenever I spot it at Aldi.

Now, Aldi is releasing a new version of its popular slice-and-serve cookie dessert and I can't wait to try it.

Aldi’s New Confetti Sugar Cookie Pizza Cookie

Aldi / Allrecipes

Starting on Feb. 12, Mama Cozzi’s confetti sugar cookie pizza cookie will hit store shelves for $3.99 per pie. Like its chocolate chip counterpart, this nine-ounce sugar cookie comes fully baked so all you need to do is heat and serve. While this will certainly taste delicious on its own, I also think a sugar cookie is the perfect canvas for decorating with icing, which comes in handy if you’re eyeing this for Valentine’s Day.

It’s hard to say how long this product will last in stores but if they’re anything like the chocolate chip variety, it’ll probably sell out quickly so don’t miss the opportunity to bring a box home if you see it. If you’re not close to an Aldi, or your local store has run out of them, you’re in luck, because we have a fantastic recipe for a giant chocolate chip cookie, which you can easily make at home.
